Overview

The Umbwe Route is the steepest and most challenging trail to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Starting in the dense rainforest, the trail quickly rises to open moorlands, alpine deserts, and finally, the glacier-covered summit. While this route is less crowded, it requires a good level of fitness and determination due to its rapid altitude gain. This 7-day itinerary provides an additional day for acclimatization, improving the chances of reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m). With experienced guides and dedicated porters, your safety and success are our priorities on this thrilling journey.
