Day 1: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,200m – 2,820m)
Begin your adventure with a transfer to Londorossi Gate for registration. Trek through the lush rainforest with chances to spot wildlife like monkeys and exotic birds. Arrive at Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) Camp for your first night on the mountain. Trekking time: 3-4 hours.
Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp (2,820m – 3,610m)
Ascend from the forest into the moorland zone, crossing ridges and open terrain with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive at Shira 1 Camp, located on the expansive Shira Plateau. Trekking time: 6-7 hours.
Day 3: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp (3,610m – 3,850m)
Enjoy a more leisurely trek across the Shira Plateau, taking in breathtaking views of Kibo Peak and the surrounding landscape. This day is designed to help with acclimatization as you gradually gain altitude. Arrive at Shira 2 Camp for the night. Trekking time: 3-5 hours.
Day 4: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower (3,850m – 4,600m – 3,950m)

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (3,950m – 4,050m)
Start the day with an exhilarating climb of the Barranco Wall, followed by a trek through ridges and valleys. Arrive at Karanga Camp in the afternoon, providing additional time for rest and acclimatization. Trekking time: 4-5 hours.
Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (4,050m – 4,670m)
Trek through the barren alpine desert to Barafu Camp, the base camp for your summit attempt. Arrive in the early afternoon, allowing time to rest and prepare for the midnight ascent. Enjoy an early dinner and get some sleep before the big day. Trekking time: 4-5 hours.
Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp (4,670m – 5,895m – 3,100m)
Begin your summit push at midnight, trekking through the darkness to Stella Point and then onwards to Uhuru Peak, the Roof of Africa. Celebrate your achievement at the summit before descending to Barafu Camp for a brief rest. Continue your descent to Mweka Camp for an overnight stay. Trekking time: 12-15 hours.
Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate (3,100m – 1,640m)
Make your final descent through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Collect your summit certificate and bid farewell to your guides and porters. Transfer back to your hotel to rest and celebrate your successful climb. Trekking time: 3-4 hours.
